About the RoleAs an Electrical/Electronic Equipment Technician, you will play a key role in building and supporting electronic test systems used across multiple aerospace programs. Your work will directly impact the quality, reliability, and performance of advanced aerospace technologies. This is a full-time, 12-month consultant role offering structured training, mentorship, and experience in a high-tech lab environment.
What You’ll Do Day to DaySupport multiple aerospace programs by building electronic test equipment
Interpret engineering drawings and electronic schematics
Select appropriate tools and materials and fabricate per drawings
Participate in test design and perform routine procurement, fabrication, and assembly of components, fixtures, and test systems
Assist with system integration, modification, and pre-test setup
Support test checkout, post-test tear-down, and documentation
Conduct routine tests, analyze data, and document results
Troubleshoot basic laboratory and test-related issues
Work under close supervision with ongoing training and mentorship provided
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent
Experience interpreting electronic schematics and/or drawings
Hands-on experience with crimping, soldering, and using multimeters
Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge with related work experience
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a lab or shop environment
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree (AA) in a related technical field (a plus, not required)
Prior experience building or supporting electronic or test equipment
Familiarity with fabrication tools and processes
