We are currently seeking an Advanced Chemical Engineer (Gas Processing) to join our team in Malaysia office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support for a range of UOP technologies such as Separax (Membranes), SeparALL, Benfield, Molsiv etc.
• The primary accountability of the position is to complete the transfer of our technology in order to deliver to our customers UOP-licensed or UOP-designed units that operate optimally, profitably and safely.
• The Specialist will have regular interaction with external customers, and with other UOP personnel involved in technology delivery projects.
• In addition to customer contact, the position provides interaction with all the UOP departments involved with technology delivery.
• The interaction with other UOP departments provides excellent exposure as well as providing knowledge of accountabilities in other areas.

MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s in chemical engineering
• 5+ years industry experience
• Experience on UOP or similar Gas processing/treating technologies such as Separax, SeparALL, Benfield, Molsiv etc.

WE VALUE:

• Strong interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to manage the extensive internal and external customer contact that the position demands.
• Experience in commissioning, startup, operation, troubleshooting and optimization of gas processing technologies would be a plus
• The position requires significant travel (~25) and associated personal flexibility. Some trips can be planned, but ability to travel at short notice is a requirement.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and adjust to changing priorities.
• Good problem solving and dispute resolution skills
• Good computer software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Unisim or other process modeling experience
• Knowledge of UOP or similar gas processing/treating technologies
• Field Experience (Operations and/or Technical Services)
