PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to support a leading aerospace client’s Engines & Power Systems (E&PS) division. This team is driving innovation in turbofan, turboprop, turboshaft, and electric propulsion systems. Your Role and Impact

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you’ll lead the design, modeling, and integration of aircraft systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to ensure system-level traceability, drive digital engineering practices, and support airworthiness and safety compliance.
What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain SysML-based models using CAMEO to represent system architecture, behavior, and requirements.
Translate high-level mission requirements into structured models with full traceability using DOORS NG, Jira, or similar tools.
Define and manage system and subsystem interfaces across propulsion, avionics, and sensors.
Collaborate with design and test teams to validate system behavior and support verification planning.
Use system models to inform integration efforts and support test readiness.
Generate documentation for airworthiness, safety, and programmatic reviews.
Advocate for MBSE best practices and support tool adoption across engineering teams.

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of experience in systems engineering and MBSE roles supporting aerospace systems.
Hands-on experience with CAMEO Systems Modeler and strong understanding of SysML.
Working knowledge of DOORS NG and Jira.
Experience modeling complex system architectures and interfaces.
Familiarity with systems engineering processes, V-model, and lifecycle traceability.
U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA).
Familiarity with MIL-STD-881, MIL-STD-882, and system safety frameworks.
Exposure to airworthiness certification or flight test support.

Pay Details: $80.00 per hour
