As a Sr Advanced R&D Engr/Scientist here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for driving innovation and developing cutting-edge technologies that align with our strategic priorities. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities - Provide technical expertise in the design, development, and testing of innovative solutions
- Mentor and guide a team of R&D engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
- Drive innovation by identifying new technologies and methodologies
- Conduct research to generate intellectual property (IP) and contribute to patent applications
- Evaluate emerging technologies for their applicability to current and future projects
- Conduct technology assessments to inform strategic decisionmaking
- Support the transfer of technology from R&D to manufacturing or production teams
- Identify and assess technical and projectrelated risks
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE - 5+ years of experience leading many research and development projects within a technology, chemical, or manufacturing environment
- Mastery background in areas such as materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields
- Proven track record of technical leadership and project management
WE VALUE - Advanced degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or another related field
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive technology commercialization is a plus
