POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this role is to research, identify and execute large scale cost optimization opportunities capturing cost reduction of Embraer Flight Operations specific categories of expenditures for operational goods and services. In addition, the role is to develop and manage contracts and relationships with vendors taking advantage of the opportunities resulting from new services and product offerings and/or spanet shifts. The role capitalizes on experience and partnerships with Indirect and Direct procurement departments, to assist Flight Operations with procurement strategy, processes and execution.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- Plan and execute strategic sourcing initiatives using a multi-step sourcing process in order to prioritize indirect spend categories
- Research spanet conditions and product and service offerings to identify saving opportunities to be executed in order to realize cost savings and avoidance
- Standardize and manage contractual agreements in order to minimize risks and TCO
- Develop critical vendor relationships in order to introduce new services or close gaps in performance. Ø Effectively manage conflicts and transformations at all levels by developing and leveraging trusted business relationships
- Prepare various analyses and works with Company departments to assure good customer relations and compliance with Contract term
- Assist in special projects, including large RFPs, process improvement projects and cross-departmental initiatives
- Responsible for maintenance of contracts data base and special terms documents
- Manage all aspects of category specific contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating term revisions with vendor and internal legal team, gaining signatures, filing, coordinating exchange and delivery of contract related materials with client, etc.
- Enforce Policies and Guidelines across area of control
- Assist in training new employees on general procurement processes
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
B.A. Degree in Finance, Operations/Supply Management or related field required.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in Procurement required
Aircraft Maintenance Purchasing experience is highly desired
Contract Writing experience is highly desired
Preferably 1+ years’ experience in preparation of RFQ/RFPs, negotiation, follow-up and control of commercial proposals.
Experience in the Aerospace industry a plus
