Aviation Search Group is partnered with a helicopter air ambulance service providing critical emergency medical transport in Southern Texas, to help them find their next Director of Maintenance. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance management of the company’s fleet of rotary aircraft at multiple locations. In addition to managing fleet maintenance, this individual will also be responsible for the direct supervision of the maintenance team and oversight of all maintenance performed on company aircraft.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Director of Operations
- Ensures that maintenance programs are followed in inspecting and repairing all aircraft.
- Is responsible for maintaining maintenance records to FAA standards on all aircraft managed and operated.
- Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with the FAA’s Principal Maintenance Inspector, having certificate responsibility over the company’s air carrier operations.
- Stays up to date on regulatory and industry developments as they pertain to aircraft maintenance and avionics techniques.
- Perform routine aircraft maintenance on managed fleet.
- Primarily holds normal business office hours, although after-hours/weekend/holiday availability is required when flight operations require it.
- Tracking, forecasting, budgeting, and scheduling fleet maintenance operations
- Assisting the operations team in coordinating maintenance logistics to maximize aircraft availability
- Other duties as assigned
