Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Ancillary Pricing is responsible for overseeing a team of analysts working to maximize the revenue of Spirit’s ancillary product portfolio. This includes but is not limited to bags, seat assignments and travel options across all distribution channels. The senior manager will enhance the existing ancillary product suite, by leading pricing initiatives and overseeing revenue forecasting and performance analysis.
- Lead the day-to-day management and execution of pricing initiatives including pricing updates, system implementation and performance monitoring across all ancillary products.
- Identify areas of commercial opportunity, develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue generation.
- Drive enhancements to ancillary pricing management tools by actively partnering with stakeholders.
- Lead the analysis and forecast of revenue streams for existing and prospective ancillary products to drive data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data accessibility, integrity and validation in support of pricing analysis, reporting and strategic decision making.
- Lead the development and delivery of recurring and ad hoc reporting to track ancillary revenue performance, inform strategic decisions.
- Develop product pricing strategy and deliver performance insights to department leadership and key business stakeholders.
- Partner with Pricing and revenue management teams to ensure alignment on forecasts, pricing strategies and revenue optimization opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and stay abreast of customer driven initiatives to ensure market responsiveness and adaptability.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, or relevant field.
- 5-7 years pricing/revenue management and analytics experience.
- 2-3 years in people management experience.
- Ability to drive action with cross functional teams for improvements and key initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills- must be able to clearly explain complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly navigate evolving environments as well as adapt to shifting priorities and business needs.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data tools (Excel, R, SQL, Python).
- Familiarity with pricing platforms.
- Ability to mentor and develop a team of analysts.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
