Are you an experienced Crew Planner or a recent graduate eager to apply your analytical skills in a dynamic, real-world setting? Join SAS Resource Management - an essential part of our operations - where we manage scheduling and staffing for up to 800 daily flights. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of aviation, data, and strategy, helping us balance productivity, crew well-being, and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Be Working On
As a Crew Schedule Optimizer, you’ll use a cutting-edge optimization tool developed by Jeppesen to design crew rotations and schedules for our pilots and cabin crew. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to set goals and guidelines, all with the aim of creating efficient, high-quality crew schedules that support both operational excellence and crew satisfaction.
This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a high-impact role while contributing to the future of sustainable aviation.
Depending on your background and experience, you will enter the role as either a Junior Crew Schedule Optimizer or Crew Schedule Optimizer. Should you start as a Junior, you might be eligible for a promotion once you’ve gained confidence in the role and completed at least 12 planning cycles - typically equivalent to one year of experience.
From there, your career can progress in two directions, depending on your interests:
- Team Lead – For those who wish to develop leadership skills and take on more responsibility within the team.
- Senior Crew Schedule Optimizer – For those who want to deepen their expertise in optimization and strategic planning.
We’re committed to supporting your growth and helping you shape a career that aligns with your strengths and ambitions.
